Common things

I can't sign in

Make sure you're using the same Apple ID or Google account you signed up with. If you signed up with email and forgot your password, tap “Forgot password” on the login screen.

Merkx is acting weird on a call

Hang up and call back. Voice connection issues are almost always a carrier or Wi-Fi blip. If it keeps happening, email us with the approximate time of the call and we'll check the logs on our end.

I want to delete my account

Open the app, then Profile → Privacy & Security → Delete Account. We hold the account for 30 days in case you change your mind, then permanently remove it.

I want a refund

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. Request a refund through reportaproblem.apple.com and Apple decides. If you got charged for something that genuinely doesn't work, email us first — we'll back you up with Apple.

Merkx forgot something important about me

Tell it again, or open the Memory Vault from the Memories tab and add it directly. If you think there's a bug (Merkx forgot something it shouldn't have), email us with the detail and we'll investigate.

I'm worried about a friend or relative

Merkx is not a crisis service. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, please call your local emergency services. In Nigeria, that's 112 from any phone.
